The most powerful part of the plant, essential oils and plant extracts have been woven into ancient history. They have been used medicinally to kill bacteria, fungi, and viruses. They also provide fragrances to balance moods, lift spirits, dispel negative emotions and create a romantic atmosphere. They were mankind’s medicine.

And now there is a segment of distributors who are working to provide animals with essential oils. And I am one of those distributors. Since I am breeder of White Shepherds and have been for the last 20 years, I am always looking for new ways to enhance the dog’s daily lives. Essential Oils offer a wide variety of help in killing antibacterial germs, fungal, and viruses and have the added benefit of fragrances for mood enhancement and lifting spirits. Animals benefit as well as humans. There are many oils that can be used during a massage on dogs and cats.  

In order to protect the health of my client's pets, I am careful not to bring any germs into a home. I spray the bottom of my shoes when I go to different homes.   As we all know, germs are spread easily and that also includes animals.  So, to help prevent any cross contamination between different households I use THEIVES mixed for household cleaning to spray the bottom of my shoes before and after I enter different homes.   And of course I also clean my hands before and after entering each house. 

Cats need to be treated differently as some oils can harm them.  But, Lavender from Young Living is one of the oils that really help them to relax.  I wear Lavender during all home visits where there are cats around, and this way we really connect.

Dogs LOVE Peace and Calming.  And it does just what is says it does.  I’ve used other types of calming aids and none worked as well for my dogs and I as this Peace and Calming does.   I used the P&C oil to help get the best performance from my dogs. Once while driving to a Rally Trail with two of my dogs, I was getting nervous about the day ahead.   (I had gotten all kinds of scores with these two dogs, so I was nervous.) Knowing that dogs pick up on our emotions, I decided to put a drop on each dog as well as my own wrists. I also sprayed Peace and Calming in the air in my car during the drive and put another drop on me when we got there.  I went in the ring with the male first and we did well. I never know when I leave as my memory stops the minute I leave the ring.   Then I took my girl in and felt even better.  As they passed out the ribbons, I found out my girl and I took 1st place and Highest Scoring German Shepherd with a 100 or perfect score. My boy took 3rd place and 2nd Highest Scoring German Shepherd with a 96.  That finished the title on my girl. The male finished the next weekend with a 1st place with a 97 while we were again using Peace and Calming.
