 Canine Good Citizen, or CGC as it is commonly called, is a test for family dogs. It represents everyday type of events, in a test form where you can receive a certificate when it has been passed. See the AKC web site for exact steps in this test. Since all of my dogs have their CGC and I believe in the worth of this certificate, I have become an evaluator for Canine Good Citizen. Also, since I have become a Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainer at a major pet store chain, the CGC is a goal of our beginning training classes. If you have an event that requires a CGC evaluator, I would be happy to work with your group in performing as your evaluator. As time goes on I plan on acquiring other levels of testing with other organizations and will offer those services to you then. |
